Details:
This CO2 Decaf lot combines three exceptional Rwandan coffees, showcasing quality and sustainability.
Musasa Nkara:
Part of the Musasa Dukunde Kawa cooperative, Nkara washing station operates at 1,800m altitude, supporting small-scale farmers with central processing, improving quality, and increasing incomes. The cooperative’s efforts, backed by programs like PEARL and SPREAD, have revitalized coffee farming post-genocide. Farmers benefit from education, healthcare, and even livestock incentives.
Buf Remera Tuzamurane:
Founded by Epiphanie Mukashyaka, Buf Café empowers nearly 7,000 farmers, emphasizing quality over quantity. Their Remera washing station follows meticulous processing to ensure specialty-grade coffee. Investments in infrastructure and training continue to improve livelihoods.
Buf Nyarusiza:
Another Buf Café washing station, Nyarusiza processes Red Bourbon coffee at 1,743m altitude, serving 744 producers.
Decaffeination Process:
The CR3 Natural Liquid Carbon Dioxide method removes caffeine while preserving flavour and aroma, using only CO2 and water—ensuring an organic, chemical-free, high-quality decaf coffee.
